(John 15:12-13) Yahweh, You are the Author, Perfector, and Orchestrator of all life—in heaven and on earth. You created everything in Your perfect and intentional design. You set it in motion, and even when we turned against You, You made a plan to make things right. Through Your Son, Jesus, You began Your plan—Your loving plan—of glorious, transformational restoration. Because of Jesus and His ultimate sacrifice, our relationship with You is made right. Because of Your great love, a love that sacrificed all, You not only give us new life, but You give us the ultimate example for how to love others. Lord, to me, I can clearly see ___ following Your loving example. Out of their own volition, ___ has chosen to serve others, to serve their country. Not out of necessity, pressure, or force, ___ has sacrificed everything—putting their life on the line for their fellow citizens. That’s a beautiful picture of love, Father—one that comes directly from Your work in ___’s life. God, would You fill ___’s heart all the more with Your love for them? Take away any doubt in their mind about the reality, power, and depth of Your love. Through Your Holy Spirit, empower ___ to understand, accept and embrace that “greatest love of all.” May Your love inspire ___ to continue loving others. Amen.
